Lula 3th - 5th October
Lula, in the heart of the Baronia district, nestles on the slope of Monte Albo, an area recently declared a Site of Community Importance (SCI) by the EU. The countryside, inhabited since Neolithic times, has a wealth of historical landmarks: several Nuraghic villages, domus de janas and tombs of the giants. Nature lovers will enjoy the hiking trails through the green woods on Monte Albo, with a chance to spot the local wildlife.
Tonara 4th - 5th October
Tonara is a mountain village at the foot of Monte Mungianeddu, in the heart of Sardinia. T is one of most green village on the western side of the Gennargentu. The village developed from its three ancient quarters: Arasulè, Teliseri and Toneri. The Sardinian word Toneri, after which the village was named, indicates the limestone pillars that stand on the verdant mountain slopes.

The village has kept true to its handicraft traditions, with fine hand-loomed carpets and tapestries, and beautiful carved wood furniture. Tonara is famous, all over Sardinia for its delicious nougat and the manufacture of cowbell.
